ABOUT
Based at Lismore Airport, the Northern Rivers Aero Club is the premiere flying training and social aviation organisation on the Northern Rivers. We are extremely proud of our long history; our alumni include current and former RAAF pilots, instructors, airline and charter pilots, and many, many private pilots trained at our facilities.
Today, we operate a flying school with dedicated ex-military and civilian instructors to cater to a wide range of students. Our facilities include onsite accommodation, modern briefing/teaching facilities, study and recreational areas, not to mention a comprehensive Recreational-registered and GA-registered Aircraft to take students from the very beginning all the way through to the to a General Aviation License.
The Northern Rivers Aero Club has a long history of training professional aviators from our base at Lismore Aerodrome.
Our philosophy at NRAC is no pressure just quality instruction in a friendly club atmosphere. We allow you to dictate the pace of your journey to be a pilot . We charge reasonable rates and on a PAYG on the day basis. Simple.

reasonable airport traffic volume (we are outside controlled airspace) that provides negligible delays without the frustration of burning fuel and time while you wait for airways clearance or the traffic to subside..

proximity to the Gold Coast and Coffs Harbour controlled airspace for easily accessible experience as your license training progresses.

Excellent facilities: on-site accommodation available, lecture rooms and training rooms, quiet study areas, flight planning space plus a kitchen.

A variety of training aircraft including Recreational Aviation Australia (RA-Aus) registered aeroplanes and General Aviation trainers
