The Northern Rivers Aero Club has a long history of training professional aviators from our base at Lismore Aerodrome.

A critical component of our training philosophy is to break up your learning into blocks; apart from providing course costs up-front, this also allows you to be focused on a specific goal, have a full and complete understanding of what is required of you in terms of study and performance during each component and walk away with a sense of completion at the end.

• Reasonable airport traffic volume (that is outside controlled airspace) that provides limited delays but also experience in managing other aircraft working in your vicinity

• Close proximity to the Gold Coast controlled airspace for  easily accessible experience as your license training progresses

• Excellent facilities: free on-site accommodation, separate lecture and training rooms, quiet study areas, flight planning space plus a kitchen

• A wide variety of training aircraft including Recreational Aviation Australia (RA-Aus) registered aeroplanes and more complex General Aviation trainers

• Qualified and highly experienced instructors
